Slammed For Holding An 'Offensive' Placard, Twitter CEO Trolled On His Own Platform

The event didn't make it to the headlines until this controversy spurred.

On November 20, 2018, Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey invited a controversy. Dorsey who has been in the country since November 10, was seen holding a placard which said "Smash Brahmanical Patriarchy" in a group photograph with female journalists.

The trolling seeded when former Infosys director TV Mohandas Pai spoke up about the Twitter CEO participating in a hate campaign against Brahmins.

Looking at the worsening situation, Twitter India was forced to release an unofficial statement saying, "Recently, we hosted a closed-door discussion with a group of women journalists and changemakers from India to better understand their experience using Twitter. One of the participants, a Dalit activist, shared her personal experiences and gifted a poster to Jack."
