Decorated with new signboards and retouched saffron color building, the ceremony was witnessed by BJP President Amit Shah, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
Mughalsarai was renamed Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar on September 12, 2017. Later, the UP government announced the change of the junction on June 4, 2018 and the new name to be formally changed on August 5, 2018.
