Netflix's new series Mowgli has taken the world by a storm. The fantasy-based adventure is an adaptation of All the Mowgli Stories by Rudyard Kipling.
But what if I tell you that there was a real Mowgli too who is also rumoured to have been Kipling's inspiration for The Jungle Book?
Well, he had a similar story. He somehow made his way into the forest and was adopted by animals, who fed and protected him.
To add to your surprise, there isn't one such story. There have been a lot of instances of feral children, who ran on all fours, ate raw meat and communicated only in grunts and had canine-like choices, but this kid, this Dina Sanichar was different.
