On November 30, 2018, thousands of farmers and agriculture workers from across India marched from Ramlila Maidan towards the Parliament in Delhi. This protest was conducted in demand to put an end to the agrarian crisis prevailing in the country.
According to the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), over a lakh farmers are expected to be a part of this march. AIKSCC has brought about 207 farmers and agricultural organisations together.
This national level march is supported by the farmers of states like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Over 3,500 police personnel have been deployed to ensure peace and safety during this event.
