From being India's first film to enter the Cannes to a visual treat everytime you watch it, it's been 16 years that Devdas is the love saga based on Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel Devdas, which is beautifully brought to the big screen by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's grandeur.
The film narrates the story of Devdas and his childhood love Paro and how their lives etch away because of this beautiful emotion called "love".
Devdas tells the tale of a guy who in his aristocracy and ungratefulness losses the love of his life and spends the rest of his life repenting the decision and drowning himself in alcohol. Instead of unrequited love, if the movie focused on being cautioned about alcoholism, it'd have made more sense.
Nevertheless, the movie has remained etched to the heart and soul of the audience since it's given us some cult classic dialogues that are dramatic, soulful and all things wonderful:
