The nation is bombarded with saddening occurrences every day, but we forget the part where humanity exists. There are people and communities who work for underprivileged or unprivileged of the society, highlighting the bright side of this world.
This initiative is helping the poor and needy in Bengaluru. Public refrigerators are set up by these NGOs and communities at Brookfields, BTM Layout, Koramangala, Indiranagar, and Benson Town. They aim to benefit at least 400 people per day, severing the gap between people who are starving to death and the people who cannot decide what to eat out of other 10 options!
Anyone who has excess or large quantities of food available, be it a restaurant or a home kitchen they can leave it in the fridge for the needy ones to consume. The managing trustee of Public Foundation, Issa Fathima Jasmine, installed the first fridge of kindness in BTM Layout, last November.
