On December 3, Monday, mob violence took place in a Bulandshahr village in western UP.  The mob surrounded a policeman who was trying to control the violent crowd after the carcasses of 25 cows were found in the forests close to a police station. Later, the police officer, Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, was found dead hanging partly out of his black SUV after being attacked by the mob.

It all began when local people along with some right-wing activists collected some cow carcasses in a tractor trolley. They then tried to block the road, and when police started clearing the way, the mob turned violent and attacked the police.
