After the Bihar shelter abuse case, another similar case has surfaced from Uttar Pradesh, where 24 girls were rescued from a shelter home. The shelter houses about 42 girls, out of which 18 are missing. The place has been sealed for now. A couple who managed the shelter and the superintendent have been arrested.
The incident came to light after a girl escaped from there and intimated the police. “Many times white, black and red cars used to come and take away the girls. When they returned in the morning, they used to cry,” the girl alleged.
